The installation ORIGIN shows large-format projections of street scapes placed in the exhibition space in dark yellow-green night light. Old facades, street scenes - but something is wrong. Sometimes the perspective leads nowhere, the architectural angles are strangely distorted. As if we saw dreams flickering at the edges of the images or incompletely reconstructed memories.
ORIGIN was created from photographs of Halle (Saale), the artist's hometown, with the help of AI. It is an example of the use of new technologies in which the properties of the medium interact directly with the content of the artwork. The subjective memory is reflected in the randomness of the algorithm. The intense presence of the dream mixes with the errors of subconscious logic.
